My Odicote came with an applicator-credit card size.

I’ve used odicoat for years and even put it on a finished round quilted train case I made and let it dry naturally. I put very 2 thin layers on with a credit card. Turned out great!

I don't remove the parallel pins when I put the perpendicular ones in. This keeps all those layers in line. It's a nightmare if they are not. Take your time pinning and looking at the edge. Slow down. Removing 2 sets of pins is no biggy. I do not recommend clips with so many layers since you have to move the fabric around a lot!
